Study on the Post-Earthquake Restoration of Tangshan City after the Tangshan Earthquake of 1976
-Part 1: Study on the Decision method of post-earthquake economic restoration sequence of Tangshan-

Abstract

Tangshan Earthquake once brought a big disaster to mankind. Today when Tangshan city's post-earthquake restoration and reconstruction has been finished, it is very important to summarize the lessons and experiences of the restoration, In the present paper, on the basis of the investigation on economic constitution of Tangshan city before the earthquake, the reasonable restoration sequence of post-earthquake economy was studied by using fuzzy sets theory. A decision making method on post-earthquake economic restoration sequence is developed for the first time, Furthermore, analysis is made on the whole post-earthquake economic restoration process of Tangshan city. In the meanwhile, the teachings of post-earthquake restoration of Tangshan city make a good verification on the reasonableness of this method. The study provides a good choosing method on post-earthquake economic restoration sequence for cities, especially for cities in developing countries to which destructive damage is done.
