Abstract

Development of a geographic information system (GIS) for disaster management, called DiMSIS, is introduced. Disaster information management assistance (DIMA) activities are described. These are voluntary activities in which information processing and management assistance is offered to post-earthquake emergency activities by local governments. Some of the useful information installed in the DiMSIS GIS is explained.
