Abstract
　Many car drivers were killed due to washing away and landslides of road when heavy rainfalls and typhoon happened in our country. Especially death of car drivers claimed a toll of about twenty lives in the heavy rainfalls which swept over the Nagasaki districts on July 23, 1982.
　In this work, human damage due to heavy rainfalls and typhoon is investigated by questionaire for the headquarters of police regions of urban and rural prefectures. Over one hundred drivers were killed duhng this thirty years and human damage is conspicuous in recent disasters. Analysis of human damage is made for various items.
